PhishRod commissions CyberCentric to conduct a study on Phishing Readiness in Middle East

PhishRod has commissioned CyberCentric to conduct a study on “State of Phishing Readiness in the Middle East & North Africa”. The objective of the study is to determine the impact of phishing attacks and the approaches used by organizations to counter threats related to phishing. This study aims to provide actionable and analytics-driven insight into the state of phishing threats in the Middle East.

Speaking to CyberCentric, Syed Abid Ali, Co-Founder & CCO of PhishRod said, “Phishing is a global threat with a regional context. Hackers localize the phishing emails as an effective phishing attack because an email that worked in one region may not work in the other due to diverse organization cultures, end-user behavior, and contrasting regional context.

While global studies do provide meaningful insights, the state of phishing readiness in the Middle East & North Africa may represent an altogether different picture.  The dynamic nature of phishing threats requires a focused study on phishing readiness which is tailored to the local culture & context. We are confident that this study will depict the true state of phishing readiness in the Middle East & North Africa.

CyberCentric methodology for this study is based on a survey-driven approach that has been designed in collaboration with industry experts. A survey with 10 questions will be shared with more than 20,000+ cybersecurity professionals across the region. The findings will be revealed on 30th of July, 2021.

We request all cybersecurity professionals in the region to share their thoughts on the true “State of Phishing Readiness in the Middle East & North Africa” by participating in this study.

(Time required to fill the survey: 1-2 Minutes).
